We believe through the provision of social, economic, and educational advancement opportunities, we support hurting humanity and benefit all of mankind. About Our CEO/Founder
Dr. Donna Rogers founded Extended Hands/Reasonable Service in 2005.
Reasonable Service began in 2005 as an extension of the original United Harvest Distribution outreach program which originated in 1992 in Decatur, Illinois. Dr. Donna Rogers founded this not-for-profit organization after traveling to the continent of Africa.
As a result of this mission, she experienced heartfelt compassion and growing awareness of the plight of mankind. Reasonable Service is an extension of the Father’s hand, touching hearts and changing lives. The teaching of Jesus Christ, “For ye have the poor always with you,” is a key motivating scripture of the organization.
Our Goal
Our goal is to partner with other organizations, churches, and communities to lower the rates of hunger, homelessness, impoverishment, illiteracy, recidivism, juvenile delinquency, and mental and physical disease in our city. Through pulling resources together the entire community will benefit from all social service providers.
We must empower those struggling behind to catch up and experience prosperity; the best gift that we can give those in need is education, information, and mentoring. We don’t want to only provide dollars and services because in doing so we institute a new welfare system that enables rather than empowers.
Social advocacy without social responsibility can cripple and cause individuals to remain poor and destitute. Therefore, empowerment is paramount.
